Concrete pump hire rates to any UK destinations

Concrete pumps are an efficient means of placing concrete saving labour costs and time. The type of construction project will usually dictate what type of concrete pump is used. A trailer-mounted concrete pump is compact in size so is ideal for placing concrete in hard–to-access areas and where space to manoeuvre about is limited. Concrete pump trucks offer great versatility with boom lengths of up to 66 meters allowing them to place concrete at either horizontal and vertical distances.

In situations where an additional concrete pump is required for a job or just a 'one-off' requirement then there is the convenient option of concrete pump hire at rates generally quoted per weekly.

Concrete pump hire rates will depend on the size of concrete equipment required. A trailer-mounted concrete pump hire rate is from £550 per week for a minimum period of a month and a truck concrete pump hire rates from £1,500 per week.

Trailer mounted concrete pumps available for hire range in outputs from 15 to 120 cubic metres per hour and, with additional boom line can stretch over distances of 380m.

Concrete pump trucks are available for hire in a wide range of sizes with boom lengths of 21 to 66 metres and concrete outputs of up to 185m3/hour at pressures of up to 80 bars. Concrete pump hire rates also include a choice of either a 3, 4 or 5 section placing boom with the option of  ‘z’ fold, ‘roll’ fold or ‘multi-z’ fold opening, making them easy to manoeuvre

Concrete pump hire rates don't include transportation, but at an additional charge this is an available service within the UK. Utranazz concrete equipment plant hire division has their own transport fleet of vehicles that can deliver to UK destinations. Low loaders are used for weights of up to 20-ton and for weights of up to 7.5-ton, a beaver tail rigid lorry is used to transport at the most competitive delivery rates in the industry.

Concrete pump hire rates are best discussed with plant hire companies such as Utranazz to ensure that you are hiring the most suitable equipment with all the necessary attachments and accessories.

Which cement silo is bested to your building site?

There are different types of storage silos available on the market each designed to hold different types of materials. In the building industry the low-level mobile cement silo and the upright static or vertical silo are used to hold and discharge cement or other powder materials such as PFA (Pulverised Fuel Ash) when needed.

A cement silo usually comes with a blower that helps in moving the contents into a batching plant or a concrete mixer truck. Low-level silos are ideal for easy transportation without the need for a foundation to place it on so can be placed exactly where needed minimizing time delays in mixing concrete. They come equipped with an electronic weighing system with digital display and printer to monitor with accuracy the content of the silo and quantities dispatched.

The mobile cement silos are the preferred choice on building sites because they are easily dismantled and transportable once the project is completed and contractors need to move on to their next assignment. They are perfect for use in conjunction with bin-fed concrete batching plants.

The cement silos as available to purchase from Utranazz are supplied to full EU specifications. They
conform to the latest safety regulations including fitment of high and low-level indicators, pressure relief valves, filtration units, safety ladders, rails and feed-pinch valves.

Vertical cement silos are an important part of a concrete mixing plant and are used to store bulk cement for dispatch to ready mix concrete plants. The sizing of a silo depends on the demands placed on it.

Cement silos are available to rent or as an outright purchase of either a new or used silo. Whichever option suits your business, Utranazz are likely to meet your construction fleet requirements so contact us today to discuss cement silos for sale or to hire.

3+ Reasons the Holcombe Volumetric Concrete Mixer will improve concrete delivery

A range of  innovative concrete mixer trucks with unique technical features will be launched to market in February at the UK Concrete Show 2015.

Why the launch of the Holcombe Volumetric Concrete Mixers?

Following the feedback that had been received about the capabilities of existing volumetric concrete mixers, Utranazz, in conjunction with American manufacturer Holcombe Mixers worked together to design a concrete mixer that would meet with these specific demands.

The first in the range to be launched, is the HM12H-E, which has a 9.4m3 capacity and a 50m3/hour. It is the most simple volumetric mixer to use and it is easy to maintain, allowing operators to carry the maximum amount of raw materials permitted.

Reduce downtime for changing a conveyor belt

On average it takes 2 days to change a conveyor belt - too much downtime! In answer to this frustration faced by operators, the HM12H-E has a patented removable cassette conveyor, which is a slide-out component held in place by eight bolts. Upon removing the 8 bolts the entire conveyor assembly will slide out the back of the concrete mixer and allow the user to simply slide in a new conveyor cassette. This process will take just 5 hours, keeping downtown to the absolute minimum.

Another common complaint made by UK volumetric users is that their hydraulic systems run 100% at all times. This puts a heavy strain on the hydraulic system and causes higher failure rates on wear parts. The HM12H-E is fitted with a unique load-sensing variable displacement hydraulic system, which scales to higher and lower levels of output based on how much need is called for by the system. Therefore if it's not in use, it won't be pressurised. This system ensures that wear parts will last twice as long.

An angled bin empties the load completely.

The HM12H-E comes equipped with many standard items that would only be supplied as optional extras with other volumetric concrete mixers.

The new Holcombe volumetric concrete mixer is inclusive of the following

  • roll-over sheet
  • electronic measuring system
  • ticket printer
  • friction-less conveyor system
  • hydraulic chute control
  • wireless remote control

The Holcombe volumetric concrete mixer meets the 3 key requirements for high quality volumetric concrete, namely:
  1. Consistent conveying of concrete
  2. Accurate cement metering
  3. Thorough mixing of aggregate, cement and water

For a free demonstration of the HM12H-E volumetric concrete mixer, please contact Utranazz to arrange a date or visit their stand at the UK Concrete Show 2015.
